Stepping Stones Wellbeing in the Workplace

On Wednesday 11th January 2023 I attended a lovely morning at Panasonic’s offices, we found out that Panasonic have been actively looking after the wellbeing of their staff since 2015. They understand the importance of mental health first aid as well as physical health first aid. It was great to hear how they had a monthly know your numbers session for those that wanted to partake, could find out their weight, BMI, BP etc. To keep themselves on track for a healthy lifestyle.

When I last worked in the city in 2006, the company I worked for had a great social life, but wasn’t fully in alignment with all of this, especially inclusion and diversity and mental health. It is great to hear that companies are understanding the importance of this within their workplace. Ultimately they will create a more commited team of workers if they feel respected, heard and understood.

Stepping Stones Recovery College is a charity, they are a recovery college for people going through mental health problems, addiction and trauma. They have branches throughout the UK and were offering this talk today to help support businesses to show them that they can signpost their staff, or bring them in to create talks about mental health and stress in the workplace.

I offer my services to businesses using Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Bowen & Meditation. I have spent many years working within office environments providing therapies. But I also have a vast range of experience working with trauma, sickness and grief, from normal day to day life stressors, to working in Sarajevo with victims of the war. I use my mental health first aid skills to ensure that people are supported and signposted to the right help when needed.

All my therapies are fully insured and I hold a full enhanced DBS.

My values are to support the community with compassion and care. I am passionate about helping people to feel relaxed, restored and rebalanced. I also have a wide group of incredibly talented therapists that are available to support me to help your business – see If you would like this for your staff please contact me, Amanda Riley on 07989 604750.
